the united states the leading nation of deforestation, followed closely by western Africa, even though Africa is leading producer of lumber.

trees can protect us from the greenhouse effect, and with out trees the earth could be unlivable by humans. 

the people deforestation effects the most are the indigenous  tribes and people of Africa. it effects them because the soil blows away making it harder to farm so farmers are forced to cut down more rain forest.
